WEYMOUTH YOUTH FOOTBALL AND CHEERLEADING IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE NEW GRADE BASED SYSTEM

GRADE  AGE          
                                                      
3rd*    7,8,9/9 in 3rd gr. can't turn 10 on or before 12/31
4th      8,9,10/10 in 4th gr. can't turn 11 on or before 12/31
5th      9,10,11/11 in 5th gr. can't turn 12 on or before 12/31
6th      10,11,12/12 in 6th gr. can't turn 13 on or before 12/31
7th      11,12,13/13 in 7th gr. can't turn 14 on or before 12/31
8th      12,13,14/14 in 8th gr. can't turn 15 on or before 12/31

* 2nd graders may join the 3rd grade team.
 

Benefits of grade based system

• elimination of complicated age/weight structures for determining placement
• more evenly aligned with state/region structures
• football players can rally classmates to play together in a predictable, safe and unified format
• increased opportunity for more football-loving children to participate

    

REGISTRATION FOR THE 2010 SEASON WILL BE HELD ON MARCH 27 AND 28, 2010 FROM 9:00 TO 12:00 AT THE NASH TRAILER.

REMEMBER TO BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO REGISTRATION:
ORIGINAL AND COPY OF BIRTH CERTIFICATE (ORIGINAL WILL BE RETURNED) AND A COPY OF PHYSICAL FORM OR DOCTORS CONSENT FORM DATED AFTER JANUARY 2010.  FULL PAYMENT IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION IN THE FORM OF CASH, CHECK OR CREDIT CARD.
